Welcome to Pokemon Auburn! We are a play-by-post Pokemon Roleplay based many years after the games. We find ourselves in Kanto, the region where it all started. It has been decades since Team Rocket disbanded. Professor Oak has died of old age, and all of the old Gym Leaders and Elite Four members have retired. With a new Professor, Gym Leaders, and Elite Four members, one would think of life starting over. However, with new beginnings, there is always something that comes back from the past. A man who was facinated by Team Rocket as a boy has desided to reform the broken team of criminals. The threat of Team Rocket is getting worse and worse as the team grows larger and stronger. Trainers have been reporting their Pokemon turning up missing, and all evidence leads towards Team Rocket. Whenever the police searched the old Team Rocket hideout, all they found were men and women doing science-related activities. Little did they know that it was Team Rocket in desguise. What will happen now? Are you just going to let all the Pokemon turn up missing? Are you going to try and stop this? Or, are you going to join forces with Team Rocket?

Quick OOC Updates!
12-8-10 Hey, everyone! It's been a while since I've updated this. The site is moving slowly, but new members are joining! Yay~! I'm thinking about starting up an advertising contest, though I'm still thinking about the prizes. Let's get this place active, everyone! ~NINETALES
11-25-10 Oh, boo. The site is starting to go slow. D: How sad. I know it is Thanksgiving break and all, but at least try to log in, everyone! ~NINETALES
11-13-10 Hey, everyone~. I just wanted to say that we are doing well for a newly-opened site! We already have a couple of trainers, but we need more coordinators, Team Rocket Members, and Gym Leaders. Elite Four members would be great, too. Once we have around ten or more members, I'll put up November's promo. <3 ~NINETALES
11-11-10 again Keh~. Yes, yes, I'm giving another update on the same day. Well, as I promissed, the site was finished! Sure, I may tweak it every now and again, but it is opened. Please start creating characters, roleplaying, and the staff should start advertising. ~NINETALES
11-11-10 Hey, everyone! The site is almost done~. I just have to finish the rest of the coding, get the rest of the rules up, get the bio form up, make an advertisement, make an affiliate, and then start advertising. So, just hang on, and I'll try to get this done by tonight or tomorrow night. ~NINETALES
Quick IC Updates!
12-8-10 Oh, no! Professor Bishop has gone inactive! Do you know what that means? Yes, it means that you no longer have to wait for your starter or Pokedex if you have been waiting for your thread to be posted in. For the time being, just post in the Pokemon Laboratory stating with Pokemon you took as a starter (unless you imported a Pokemon) and/or that you took your Pokedex. This may help people get a jump start to their journey.
11-16-10 What's this? Team Rocket has been spotted, and in Pallet Town of all places?! Yes, that's right. There is currently an Elite Officer and Rookie Scientist in Pallet! Why are they there? Who knows, but it can't be that good. With that Zoroark with the Elite Officer, we can already tell that they will not leave without doing something to disrupt peace in the small town. Two new Trainers have been spotted with the pair of Rocket members. They aren't enough to fight off the pair. Well, maybe the Rookie Scientist, but not the Elite Officer. What will happen? Let's just wait and see...

A good site cannot thrive without the law of the staff members. You can find all of the site rules and information in here. Please be sure to refresh your memory on the topic often, and guests must read the rules before joining.
The site changes every so often, and it may be hard to keep up. The staff members will try to post a thread here at least once a month to keep you updated. At times, there will be random try-outs for something or an activity check; however, activity checks are very rare, so please do not expect to see one of these within the first six or so months of the site being around.
If you are new to the board, this is the second place you will visit to introduce yourself to our happy family. If you are leaving for two or more days, please inform us on the matter here. We do not wish to count you as inactive.
Do you want something changed? Do you have a rule you might want? Do you have a new idea for a plot of some sort? Come in here, for this will be a great place to start. Guest friendly.
No one on the site can begin roleplaying without having a character. You must follow the template given in order to create your character; however, you can change the layout of it as you wish as long as it is easy on the eyes. Please wait for an admin to accept it before you roleplay.
The Character Database holds the files of all of the approved characters of Eden in the East. Once approved, a staff member will move the profile here. No one can change anything on the character profile without an admin's approval.
Once a trainer has been approved, they need to set up their PC. They may have it however they wish, but it must have information on their current Party, all the Pokemon in the storage, whatever is in their bag, and anything else they wish to put here. You may only have one thread per trainer. This means that you can have as many posts in that thread as you wish.
People can get bored with their characters very easily. In order to keep them from scrapping them, they need relationships and little sub-plots. Well, this is the place to ask for them.
Ah, Pallet Town. This small town, located in western Kanto, was the hometown of the famous Red. The small town has only two entrances, one from the north via Route 1 that leads directly to Viridian City, while the other one, Route 21, a water route, to the south. Pallet Town has a very low population number, but this low number is likely due to its lack of amenities like a Gym or Pokemon Center and its isolation from the center of Kanto.
Viridian City is a small city located in western Kanto. Three paths, all major, lead from the city center. To the north is Route 2, as well as Viridian Forest, which lies in the middle of Route 2 south of Pewter City. To the south is Route 1, which leads to Pallet Town. To the west is Route 22, leading to the Indigo Plateau and the Pokémon League.
Cerulean City is a seaside city located in northern Kanto. It is situated near a sea inlet to the north, with Saffron City to the south, and Mt. Moon to the west. The city is one of only two cities in Kanto to have four different routes enter the city, the other being Saffron City. Cerulean is a mid-sized city with a few attractions including the Miracle Cycle Shop and the Berry Powder Man.
Vermilion City is a city in Kanto. Situated near a sea inlet to the south, it contains a Pokemon Center, a Poké Mart, and serves as a popular sea port for ships such as the S.S. Anne. Vermilion Harbor is a home port for many ships. The S.S. Anne sails around the world and returns to Vermilion once a year. The S.S. Aqua sails from Olivine City in Johto to Vermilion Harbor. The ten Seagallop Ferries sail regularly to all of the Sevii Islands. Aside from the Harbor, the other exits to the city are Route 11 and Diglett's Cave to the east. North of the city is Route 6.
Lavender Town is a small town located in northeast Kanto, just south of the Rock Tunnel. According to the citizens of the town, Lavender Town is known as the grave site of Pokemon. All the memorial services are held in Pokemon Tower. According to local citizens, the ghosts that appear in the Tower are the spirits of Pokémon that have died or were killed.
Celadon City is located in central Kanto. It is one of the largest cities in the region, second only to the giant Saffron City in the east. The city has two entrances, one from the east via Route 7, and one from the west via Route 16.
Saffron City is a sprawling metropolis in the Kanto region. It lies in between Celadon City, Vermilion City, Lavender Town, and Cerulean City. Saffron City is one of the busiest and largest cities in the region, and is even famous outside of Kanto. The large Silph Co. headquarters building stands firm as the city's centerpiece, while two gyms dominate the north-eastern corner district. Not only is this the central business district of Kanto, it also holds the region's largest infrastructure, including the Magnet Train station, which allows ease of access between Johto and Kanto.
Fuchsia City is a city located in southwest Kanto. Its most distinguishing features are the Safari Zone, along with the Battle Pike that can be found near the city. Route 15 leads into the city from the east, Route 18 from the west, and the beach of Route 19 is in the south.
Cinnabar Island is a large island located off the southern coast of the Kanto region, south of Pallet Town. It is home to a large volcano. Because of an volcanic eruption, Cinnabar Island no longer had a Gym. However, in the years that have passed, the Gym was re-built. Cinnabar is a kind of red mineral, associated with hot springs and volcanoes. The island is connected to the mainland by two water routes: Route 20 in the east and Route 21 in the north.
The Indigo Plateau serves as the capital for the Pokémon League. It is the final destination for Pokemon Trainers competing in Indigo or Johto League competitions against the Elite Four. This is where the powerful Elite Four battle against Trainers in a final showdown of becoming a master Pokémon trainer, who may be challenged after defeating of all eight Gym Leaders of each respective region. It is also the location of the Indigo Plateau Conference, Kanto Grand Festival and the Pokémon League Village. The Indigo Plateau is located just north of Victory Road, and east of Mt. Silver. In order to reach Indigo Plateau by foot, Trainers must venture through Victory Road, a lengthy cave acting as a final test for Trainers.
The Pokemon Day Care is a place for Pokémon Trainers to drop off their Pokémon to be raised in the care of other people, in our case an elderly couple who love Pokemon. After each week of a Pokemon being at the day care, they will gain some portion of a level to a full level, depending on their current level.
Each month, a new promo shall be added here. These promos can be anything from shinies to other oddly-colored Pokemon to normal Pokemon. They'll even have a selection of bags with items in them to choose from. In order to get a promo, you must post in the thread stating the character you are, which Pokemon you are getting (at times there are more than one), and which bag you are getting.
